House of House: A House Rewatch Podcast

Comedian, writer, and VP impressionist Dan Wilbur makes his long awaited return to the show for a truly bonkers episode. Whether you want cheap space CGI effects, sociopath Taub, or gross sex stuff, we've got you covered! Oh, and House invents a machine that lets you see people's dreams. It doesn't actually lead to much, but it's fun to know that magic exists in the world of House. Honestly, there's too much bonkers stuff to even get into here, you'll just have to listen to learn all about it! Also my audio also sounds like I'm a little underwater so sorry about that! I don't know why! It's still a good episode though, I promise!

What if you blogged your entire life?! Well it might lead to a pretty alright episode of House MD. We cover many topics including speed dating, whether it would be a good idea to tell your date you appeared as an extra in an adult film, and the DVD rental experience. Now with less (but still some) whining from me about tech CEOs!

I'll say it right up top, we had some technical issues on this episode. Let's just say we were Cuddy and the internet connection was a health insurance CEO. It's still a good episode, though, as we get to discuss how much Lucas sucks, the ethics of reattaching a thumb against a patient's will, and HOW MUCH LUCAS SUCKS plus much more so listen up now!

The Dynamic Duo is back to cover an episode about the remorse House feels about messing with Cuddy and an old classmate and the remorse a patient doesn't feel because she's a sociopath. Thirteen has a major issue with that, by the way and we try to find out why! Speaking of Thirteen, we also touch on some of Olivia Wilde's other recent accomplishments, celebrity aging, and so much more!

Can an undercover cop and the drug dealer he's trying to bus fall in love? Well, at least one of them can. Comedian, writer, and game designer David Piccolomini joins us for an episode with a lot to love and a lot to say "eh" about and we say it all. We also cover topics ranging from the "biggest" kids movie of 2021 to Ye's most tolerant tweet and everything in between!

This episode asks the question "what if the show was about Wilson?" And the answer is, that would be kind of neat, but less so because Wilson has a friend who is a jerk and it's not who you're thinking! Sara Ghaleb returns for an episode all about our favorite guy played by Robert Sean Leonard (sorry, kid from Dead Poets' Society). We also learn about livers and the bigotry of internet routers outside of June. Listen in Wilson Wackos (that's a positive descriptor of Wilson fans).

Regular guest and House MD PHD returns for an episode that asks: is ignorance bliss? Well, maybe if you're constantly robo-tripping. There's a decent amount of House/Cuddy/Lucas nonsense but there's also some fun shenanigans with the team and we dive into slightly more of Peter Jacobson's career and ponder a different question: how high must you be to ethically hook up with different varieties of monkey?

Alex Kennedy returns to the House to talk about an episode where the patient is an adult film performer, which you think would be more interesting than it is! Well at least we have fun and you will too if you listen to the episode. We definitely enjoy discussing all the ways an episode with this premise could have been better!

We once again welcome Valerie Keaton for a fun and goofy episode! We get camp vacation antics with House, Wilson, and Cuddy at a medical conference plus a patient who can only lie. It's a great follow up to that earlier patient who can only tell the truth. Other topics we touch on include the metauniverse of media in movies and TV, an op-ed someone wrote in the House wiki for some reason, construction site etiquette, and so much more!

Ellie Warren returns for a rough one. We've got angsty Chase, irrational House, and a deadbeat dad with a death wish. They're not sending their best, folks, but don't worry, we dive deep into as well as modern ethical discourse (typical), a pill that makes you shoot nothing, and shower peeing plus so much more!

Can you have riches and a son? This House episode posits: no. We've also got the fallout from the Dibala debacle, discourse about talking to your Uber driver, and an exciting new spin-off idea. Also, will 13 get to go to Thailand?! I guess you'll have to listen to find out!

Katie Wright returns to cover the episode we've all been waiting for: the rise and fall of Dibala! Yes, the late great James Earl Jones steals the show as the dictator of... let's say "Shmuganda"... causing Chase to have to make some tough decisions. Meanwhile we have some delightful miming from House and Foreman is the worst boyfriend ever. Wow, mid 2000s network show video game episodes, am I right? House isn't quite back with the team but he will be soon. Well, this is certainly an episode! It's a classic, and yet I was a little out of it when I watched it for reasons I mention in the episode so take my review with an asterisk if you need it. Do you want a coherent House episode? Well then this might not be the episode for you. But do you want a heartwarming story about a mother learning to connect with her baby? Well, then this probably isn't the one for you either. But if you wanted to see a woman with her brain popping out of the top of her head like a Halloween decoration getting annoyed at a baby on speakerphone, well then good news! Regardless of what you want, you'll want to listen to this episode cause we'll break it all down for you!

So this episode is about a kid who is bad at hockey and his dad who tries to... do I have to say unalive himself if I don't want to be punished by the algorithm? Anyway the patient and his family are sympathetic but between Kutner and Taub having the most half-hearted debate of all time, Thirteen and Foreman starting a relationship with surprisingly little chemistry given how hot they each are, and House dealing with some unrelated leaky pipes this isn't an all-star House but as always the House of House episode about the episode is worth listening to! Oh, also Cuddy needs to get her house ready before the adoption inspector comes over! We're in sitcom land folks, so buckle up and enjoy.

This is a big eventful episode with abandoned babies, manipulative romances, virgin birth hoaxes, and high school drama. Who better to help us tackle it than retuning favorite Katie Wright?! There are guest stars aplenty for this episode where a guy takes House hostage in order to force him to make a diagnosis, yet doesn't doesn't sing any Papa Roach at all despite the episode title. House seems weirdly chill and Thirteen learns she doesn't want to die but in the meantime everyone gets injected with stuff. Avon Barksdale from The Wire shows up to tease Cuddy about her relationship in between hostage negotiating and we have a new edition of Law and Order SVU: Before they Were Woke pus an apology to Rob Delaney. There are a couple sound issues on this one, but we just did that to try to match the quality of this House episode which is... not great. Our guest, comedian and writer Alex Kennedy is great though! So listen for our thoughts on a weird episode with some really weird takes on abuse but don't worry the abuse is fake anyway! Also it's the first House episode Mike has ever seen. Does that matter? He gets the gist, and sometimes only through the eyes of a babe can we truly understand House. Can you even imagine how excited the Fox marketing department was when they found out this one had lesbian make out scenes? This episode of House is much like the audio of this podcast: uneven. There's some good stuff, especially with the return of the House and Wilson goof around games. Your mileage may vary but you'll definitely want to hear House say some of the least informed stuff about lesbians and psychology ever. Also sorry for the chainsaw sounds. Pretend that Denji was fighting outside Lenny's place.

It's an emotionally powerful episode with great performances but don't worry! This is a big, big episode and we're glad you're here with us for it! House is playing the role of concussion detective as he tries to figure out what life threatening symptom he noticed right before taking part in a frankly wild bus crash. Along the way we get a lot of well-realized mind palace detective adventures, the wackiest stripper you've ever seen, and a strip dance from Lisa Edelstein. What is the mystery House is trying to remember? Honestly if you don't know you should watch the episode before listening to this one, because we spoil it!

Sara Ghaleb returns for a beautifully unhinged episode of House that starts with House kidnapping a soap opera star and only gets wilder from there. But hey, you get to hear Wilson talk about using lube, so it's not all bad!

Oy Vey is this ever a Jewish episode! Lenny is out this episode but comedian, writer, and friend Jay Welch is in! Laura Silverman plays a woman who becomes Chasidic, gets married, and then gets sick. It's a Christmas Miracle for a Christmas episode! Yes, for once we actually have the Christmas episode coming out right on time. That being said, it's also a miracle that you're getting to hear this episode at all since the audio didn't process properly at first. It's still a little janky, but tis a season for forgiveness and good cheer so we hope you'll understand. Anyway, House says slurs and is creepy towards a tween. He also does a fun Santa con... as in deceit, not the thing where people dress as Santa and get drunk.

The games are finally over... or are they just beginning?! Jeremy Renner, a man who is probably the most currently famous person to have ever been on the show, plays crusty punk rocker Jimmy Quidd who is the wildest PG rated punk you've ever seen. It's a little anticlimactic for the end of the tournament arc but there's still some fun stuff in this episode and we have fun covering it!
